Harvard Business School Admissions
Ok all you potential Harvard Business School students – it’s time to get serious! I have been a bit sidetracked over the past couple of months by my life down here in Nicaragua, but I promise that as soon as I get back to the US of A the admissions advice will begin to flow freely. I have a lot to say!
In the meantime, I wanted to let you know that Harvard Business School has posted the essay topics and deadlines for the upcoming application season! I know it may seem impossibly early to start thinking about all of this, but I would really encourage you to go ahead and take a gander at the topics and deadlines. I found it especially helpful to have the essay topics in mind in the six months leading up to deadlines so that I could think through what to write about, start to outline ideas, and proactively take steps to address gaps in my personal / professional experiences.
So, drumroll please…
The application deadlines for the MBA Class of 2014 are:
Round 1* (this MBAdventurer would strongly suggest that you aim to apply Round 1)
Deadline: October 3, 2011
Notification: December 19, 2011
Round 2** (Round 2 is almost as good as Round 1…)
Deadline: January 10, 2012
Notification: March 29, 2012
Round 3*** (Don’t even think about it…wait until the next year)
Deadline: April 10, 2012
Notification: May 17, 2012
All applications are due by noon EST on the day of the deadline, and HBS encourages candidates to submit application materials as early as possible to avoid heavy server traffic and potential delays.
