Your Office, Your Terms
Hello, friends! I’ve continued to meet really cool people in my capacity as the Women’s Student Association’s Editorial Director. My most recent connection? Microsoft!
The lovely peeps at Microsoft took time out of coding and programming to ask HBS if we would like to contribute to a blogging initiative that they are calling “Your Office, Your Terms” about women working remotely in order to preserve flexibility in their professional lives. It’s a really neat effort with some amazing bloggers participating, one of whom is none other than my brilliant classmate and an esteemed food blogger, Lilly Deng!
Lilly wrote a beautiful piece on one of her personal experiences with flexible working arrangements. Click here to check it out! To access all of Microsoft’s blogs on the topic, click here.
I recently heard that an astonishingly high percentage of female HBS grads had left the work force (either temporarily or not) 5 years after graduating, presumably to have kids. It’s tough to balance everything, and it’s good to know that there is a conversation going on about how women can find balance and flexibility when they need it most.
But enough from me, I want to hear from you! What do you think about the issue? Leave a comment!
